Welcome to my new parish. It is up in the hills overlooking the city of Guayaquil in Ecuador. At night the view of lights of the city is fantastic. The majority of the houses are built of cane. They are lovely and cool to live in. The houses are mostly smallish by our standards with one or two rooms. To the first photo to the right you can see houses for over a mile away. These houses are all in the parish.
From March to January there is no rain so the place gets fairly burnt up. On the next blog I will put a photo of the house where I live.

Hi everyone,

hope you enjoy the photos taken shortly after I arrived in the parish of Jesucristo, Pan de Vida.
The parish in on the edge of the large city of Guayaquil. It is just off the main road to the north called Via Daule. At km 16 on Via Daule I turn right into my parish. I live four miles off the main road in the hills of this area which is known as San Francisco.
